We have two styles of numbers that can be seen here. The Block Style comes in 4”, 6”, 8”, and 10”. The Jayhawk Style comes in 6” and 8”. Both styles can be printed as a one color, two color, or outline only.
You can provide anything from an idea to a completed design. Our designers will work with you to create a design that you love. You will always have final approval, ensuring that you are more than satisfied with your items.
We have the following software so their native formats usually work well: Illustrator, Corel Draw, and Photoshop.
*Tip: Make sure to outline any fonts in your design (or convert them to curves). If you aren’t sure how to do this, we may have to substitute the font with something similar.
We accept many file extensions but some work better than others. The best choices are .ai, .cdr, .eps, .pdf, and .psd. Other types that will work but are less ideal are .jpg, .tif, .png, .gif, .bmp, and .doc.
It is best if the resolution is at least 300 dpi and the image is not flattened. If you have any questions about this step in the ordering process, we would be more than happy to help you.
We can print up to six colors at a time. Several techniques can be used to increase the number of perceived colors in a print such as halftones and using the shirt color within the design to give the illusion of an extra color. To choose your colors, use our ink color chart.
Halftones are a pattern of tiny dots that can simulate different shades of color using one ink.
To reproduce full-color photographic images, we can use 4 colors of ink. The four inks are printed on the shirts in layers of dots that combine to create the illusion of many more colors. CMYK refers to the 4 ink colors used by the printing press; Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key (Pure Black).
We’ve set up some general guidelines to help you visualize the normal boundaries for screen printing. For special placement needs, feel free to contact us!
