Screen Printing

Vintage

This printing style gives your design a soft, worn look. We use an additive called soft-hand to thin the ink and we apply light pressure for a classic grunge style.

Good Coverage

Good coverage printing allows for a bright color design but still maintains the “thin ink” feel. Depending on the ink color you choose it may require up to two passes. An underbase may or may not be required for darker colored fabric.

Process Printing

To reproduce full-color photographic images, typical printing presses use 4 colors of ink. The four inks are printed on the shirts in layers of dots that combine to create the illusion of many more colors. CMYK refers to the 4 ink colors used by the printing press;Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and K (Pure Black). We also use spot colors to replace certain colors within the design to make it a 6 color process if necessary. This is the most expensive print process due to time and effort required to separate the image and print the colors in multiple stages. We recommend that if you have an image that is complicated, bring it by our office or use our quote form to get pricing information.

Underbase

An underbase is a layer of white ink that is printed on dark colored shirts to allow inks to appear their true color. The white underbase is printed then dried before any other inks are applied. We do this so that if you are printing red ink on a black shirt for example, the red appears a true red instead of maroon.

Athletic Printing

We can meet your athletic printing needs ranging anywhere from warm-ups to game jerseys. We have two different styles of numbers available in a two color print, one color print, as well as an outlined version of the number. We are capable of printing on fabrics such as nylon, mesh, polyester, and cotton. We also print on other items such as reversible jerseys, shorts, and dri-fit apparel. Stretch and nylon additives are used when appropriate.

We offer full custom designs/logos for sports, businesses, educational facilities, or any other venues or organizations. You can also bring in your own design and we can re-create the artwork to help make your experience using Screen-Tex Graphics more enjoyable and personal.
